Questions, answered without the marketing voice
If something here is unclear, email hello@g20x.com and we will fix the answer.
Using the tours
What exactly is a G20X audio tour?
A narrated, self-guided walk through one place, split into 45–60 second chapters. Standard guides run four to six minutes; deep dives ten to fifteen; city walks string six to ten stops into one route.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Everything plays in your phone browser. Add the page to your home screen for an app-like icon; audio stays cached for offline listening.
Can I listen offline?
Yes. Download before you leave wifi and the guide plays in airplane mode, in tunnels and on trails. Offline downloads come with any purchase or membership.
Does it use GPS to trigger playback?
Not today. You control playback, which is why the guides work underground and offline. Location triggering is planned as an option, never a requirement.
Which languages are available?
English and Traditional Chinese now; Japanese, Korean and Spanish next. Both languages come from the same research, not from machine translation.
Who are Greg and Ivy?
Our two house narrators — synthetic voices we trained and licensed ourselves. Members can switch between them, and human-narrated flagship versions are rolling out for major sites.
Price and payment
How much does it cost?
Previews are free forever. Standard guides are $1.49, deep dives $3.99, city walks $4.99, city packs $9.99, regional passes $19.99, and membership is $4.99, $9.99 or $19.99 a month.
Is there a genuinely free option?
Yes. Unlimited 60-second previews with no signup, four complete San Francisco tours free end to end, and one full guide a month with a free account.
What are X-Credits?
Prepaid credit — one X-Credit is one dollar of guide. Cards from $5 to $50 carry bonus credit, credits never expire, and they are the easiest thing to gift.
When can I actually pay?
Payments open with early access. Join the list and you get the launch price locked for twelve months plus five free guides on day one.
What is your refund policy?
If a guide is factually wrong or the audio is broken, we refund it and fix the guide. Tell us at hello@g20x.com.
Accuracy and content
How do you know the facts are right?
Every specific claim has to trace to an official site, park service, museum archive or public record, and a human approves the script before recording. Contested history is presented as contested.
Is the content AI-generated?
Drafting and narration are machine-assisted; sourcing, editing and approval are human. Nothing publishes without a person signing it off, and the recording is checked against the approved script word by word.
I found a mistake. What happens?
Email us. We correct the script, re-record that chapter, note the correction on the page, and refund anyone who paid for the wrong version.
Can I contribute a place or a story?
Yes — contributions go through the same gates as our own guides, and published contributors earn from the listen-minute pool.
Membership, gifts and partners
What does membership add?
Unlimited guides, no ads, offline downloads, extra voices, cashback on travel bookings, gifts to send, and — on Gold — family sharing for four plus Travelpilot deal alerts.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, and anything you bought outright stays yours, downloadable, forever.
How do gifts work?
Send a guide, a pack or a credit card by email or link, optionally with a thirty-second intro recorded in your own voice. Gift credits never expire.
We are a business — can we buy guide packs for customers?
Yes, that is a core part of the model. White-label packs, redemption codes and member perks; email partners@g20x.com with your audience size and markets.
Get early access — and the launch price
We are opening paid guides, packs and membership to a first group of travellers. Leave an email and you get the launch price locked for twelve months, plus five free guides on the day we switch payments on. No spam, one email when it matters.
We store your email to notify you at launch and nothing else. Unsubscribe in one click.
Heard something wrong? Tell us.
Corrections are the fastest way to make this better, and we would rather hear it from you than from a stranger on social media. Leave an email and we will reply — every report gets a human answer, and confirmed errors get fixed and credited.
Still not sure?
Sixty seconds of a real guide will answer more than this page can.
