Three promises we put in writing

Hear it before you pay

Sixty seconds of every guide is free, forever, with no signup and no card. Four complete San Francisco tours are free end to end — judge the whole thing, not a teaser.

Wrong fact, full refund

If a guide states something that is not true, or the audio is broken, we refund it and fix the script. The correction goes on the page with a note — we do not quietly rewrite history.

Nothing locks you in

Cancel membership any time and keep every guide you bought outright, downloadable. X-Credits never expire. No annual contract, no cancellation maze.

Get early access — and the launch price

We are opening paid guides, packs and membership to a first group of travellers. Leave an email and you get the launch price locked for twelve months, plus five free guides on the day we switch payments on. No spam, one email when it matters.

We store your email to notify you at launch and nothing else. Unsubscribe in one click.

Fair objections, answered

AI narration? That will sound like a robot.
Listen to thirty seconds before you decide — the previews on this site are the real files, not a demo reel. The voices are trained, paced at a fixed speaking rate, and every recording is transcribed back and compared with the script before it is published.
A dollar forty-nine? It cannot be any good at that price.
Production cost per guide is cents, not hundreds of dollars, because the research pipeline is automated and the narration is synthetic. The expensive part — sourcing, human review, corrections — is where the money goes. Cheap here means efficient, not thin.
I have never heard of G20X.
Correct, we are new. That is exactly why nothing on this site asks you to take our word for it: free previews, published sources, full transcripts, a refund if we are wrong, and a list of things we refuse to do.
Is this just Wikipedia read aloud?
No. Every chapter has to earn its place with something a guidebook does not tell you, and it ends with something to do where you are standing. Wikipedia is one of our sources, not our script.
I already have a guidebook.
Then use both. The guidebook plans the trip; this tells you what you are looking at while your hands and eyes are free. A guide costs less than the coffee you are drinking while you read the book.
What if I buy a pack and you shut down?
Fair question for any small company. Purchased guides download to your device and stay playable offline, which is deliberate — your library does not depend on us staying online.

Buying from a company you have not heard of

No reviews yet, and we will not invent any. Judge us on what you can check:

Pricing questions

Can I use G20X entirely for free?
Yes, within limits. Previews are unlimited and free forever, four complete San Francisco tours are free end to end, and a free account gets one full guide a month with ads.
Why is there a price at all if the narration is AI?
The recording is the cheap part. Research, sourcing, human review, corrections and hosting are not — and the price is what keeps us from selling your attention to advertisers instead.
What happens to guides I bought if I cancel membership?
Anything you bought outright — single guides, packs, passes — stays yours and stays downloadable. Only the membership extras stop.
Do X-Credits expire?
No. Credits sit in your balance until you use them, including gifted ones.
Which currencies and payment methods?
Prices are in US dollars. At launch we will take cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay through our payment provider; local pricing follows once volumes justify it.
Is there a refund policy?
If a guide is factually wrong or the audio is broken, we refund it and fix the guide. That is the whole policy and we would rather hear about it than not.

Sixty seconds costs nothing

Judge the writing and the voice before you spend a dollar.
